stars and satellites

 

desert and stars

my head is spinning round and round
like hanging on a speeding car
heading nowhere but not slowing down
i see skid marks across the tar

the night stands still without a sound
the flashing lights intruding the darkness
smoke billowing beneath the clouds
marks the beginning of annihilation

far beyond the moon and the stars,
i drift away into the empty space,
seeing the world being torn apart,
i hope to never return again...
